Omnaya (ohm-neigh-ah) was once one of the millions missing. 

In 2014 they fell ill with M.E./C.F.S. and continued to accumulate a plethora of autoimmune disorders until they were more or less bedridden for the next 5 years. 
Now back on their feet, they are ready to bring fun, whimsy, joy, and hope to other chronically ill and disabled people through their artwork!

As a giant teddy bear full of love and hugs, Omnaya received second place in RandomHouse Inc's Creative Writing competition in 2012 for their original comic "Lean on Me" about found family, gender, and young love.

Last year, they finished designing for "Plunge", an original story co-written with their best friend Allyson Florez about Magical Women with an Islamic twist (also it mostly takes place in bathrooms..? Hope you like potty humor!)

Recently, Omnaya has been doing freelance character design work with other disabled artists and learning a lot about intellectual disabilities as well!

After 25 years in NYC, Omnaya jumped coasts to LA aiming to land a job as a character designer for TV animation or video games. They're ready to get their hands dirty making pictures and making friends!
